READI - Recognition, Employment, Appreciation, Diversity Management, and Integration for Migrants (Riconoscimento, inserimento lavorativo, valorizzazione, diversity management ed integrazione dei migranti)

READI addresses the difficulties that skilled job-seeking immigrants face as a result of the lack of recognition of qualifications earned abroad and other factors that may impede employment (e.g., discrimination, lack of information on the part of employers). The aim of the project is to address these challenges head on by working within the existing legislative framework, creating tools to assist immigrants, employers and employment centres in a joint effort to match qualified candidates with skill-appropriate employment. The underlying assumption is that both employers and skilled immigrants can gain through mechanisms that provide information and training, thus promoting communication and understanding between the parties involved by helping immigrants package and sell their skills and increasing awareness on the part of employers and employment centres. The goal of the project is to develop and implement a model, to be tested in each of the six countries involved, that may be used at the European level to facilitate mobility and the acquisition of skill-appropriate employment by qualified third-country nationals.
